AGE-GROUP AWARDS:
Marathon
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:
- 19 and under
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74
- 75+

Half Marathon Run
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:
- 19 and under
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74
- 75+
Half Marathon Competitive Walk and Non-Competitive Walk
Awards will be given to the first place male and female finishers only in each of the following age groups:
- 19 and under
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74
- 75+
5k Fun Run and Fitness Walk/Kids' Mini-Marathon
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each of the following age groups:
- 5 and younger
- 6-8
- 12-14
- 19 and under
- 20-24
- 25-29
- 30-34
- 35-39
- 40-44
- 45-49
- 50-54
- 55-59
- 60-64
- 65-69
- 70-74
- 75+
5 Person Team RelaysAwards will be given to the top team in
each of the following divisions (for divisions with ten or more teams
competing, the top two teams will be awarded; for divisions with 20 or
more teams competing, the top three teams will be awarded):
• Corporate/Business 500 or more employees
• Corporate/Business 100-499 employees
• Corporate/Business 99 or less employees
• Open (almost anything goes) Male/Female/Mixed
• Masters – Male/Female/Mixed (Age 40 and older)
• Universities/Colleges – Professors, Staff, Administrators, Students
• Armed Services/Police/Border Patrol/Fire
• Legal/Medical
CASH PRIZES - Marathon Runners ONLY:
Cash prizes are awarded in the marathon for the following divisions:
- Top five male and female overall finishers
- Top three male and female masters finishers
- First Detroit and Windsor male and female finisher
The cash prize structure is as follows:
ADDITIONAL PRIZE INCENTIVES
First male finisher to break 2:17 wins an additional $2,500
First female finisher to break 2:40 wins an additional $2,500
First male to break race record of 2:13:07 (Meyer, 1980) wins an additional $5,000
First female to break race record of 2:34:16 (Orlova, 2004) wins an additional $5,000
